Horseback Auction – 3 June 2018 – ALMOST SOLD OUT

After six wonderful years on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, the Horseback horses and business will be finding a new home shortly, as the owner redirects her focus on a change in lifestyle and her agistment business.

Horseback is a famous destination and brand on the Mornington Peninsula, known for its world-class facilities and exceptional horses and services.

When owner, Alisha Griffiths first started Horseback, her number one priority was her horses. The horses were to be the best mob of trail riding horses in the country, who were loved and cared for at the highest possible standard. She achieved this.

Today, the Horseback horses continue to take out hundreds of visitors each month on Horseback Winery Tours, School Holiday Programs and Lessons.

EVERY HORSE IS DIFFERENT

Mix clydies, with gypsy cobs, with standardbreds, with miniature ponies- they’re all here at Horseback. Every horse has been hand picked and trained by Alisha and the Horseback team, ensuring each and every horse serves a purpose and can cater for their visitor’s riding ability, weight and height.

Before every ride for tours or programs, the Horseback team have matched the rider with the horse, ensuring the rider gets the absolute best experience from their time at Horseback.

If a rider wants slow and steady, they’re matched with ‘Toffee’. Riders wanting a little bit of a burn around, they’re matched with ‘Twistee’ and the list goes on.

Every horse at Horseback is needed to be kept fit, strong and free from any niggly back pain, which is why they have been professionally fitted with their own saddle, bridle and rugs. Each and every Horseback horse has its own customised gear.

When walking into the oversized tack room, you will notice, saddle upon saddles, bridles upon bridles and rugs and upon rugs. All of which are clearly named, organised and in pristine condition, waiting for the next ride to go out.

Make sure to join Horseback and the Horseback horses for one last time on Sunday, 3 June 2018 at Horseback – Book below to secure your spot.

OUR HORSES

OUR HORSES

From the onset of their arrival to Horseback, our horses joined our carefully thought out program where their training, gear fittings, farrier, dental and diet planning are managed to ensure their ongoing health, safety and performance.
ON TOURS

ON TOURS

For years, the Horseback horses have been the trusty steeds of every level of rider, taking them through the beautiful surrounds of their home in Main Ridge and Red Hill. Along with the tour guides, the horses take their riders to various destinations on their trail, to stop for a tasting of wine (or two). The horses know their route back to front, and happily allow their rider to take in the breathtaking views as the Mornington Peninsula is slowly revealed to them.
LESSON HORSES

LESSON HORSES

A select few of the Horseback horses double as lesson horses when they’re not on tours or school holiday programs. Their propensity for patience and love for guiding their rider is clearly visible during their lessons programs.
HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

The Horseback horses make an easy switch from tour horses to school horses, where they teach their budding riders (aged from 4 to 16) how to stop, start, steer and ultimately, how to ride. With fun, learning and safety as the number one priority, the Horseback horses happily enjoy getting to know the 50 or more children who are cuddling, patting, painting and riding them for the day.
STAFF

STAFF & SAFETY

All staff at Horseback have been trained to the highest standard to ensure our horses are continually cared for in the best possible manner. Both our facility and staff are accredited with Horse Safety Australia and we pride ourselves on being one of the only two accredited facilities in the country, making us the benchmark for this activity.
